Rotate PDF

Rotate PDF changes the orientation of pages so they display upright. You can rotate every page in the document at once or target a specific page range, applying turns of 90, 180, or 270 degrees clockwise. This fixes scans that came in sideways or upside down and corrects landscape pages that were captured in portrait orientation.

Internally, rotation is applied by setting each page's rotation attribute rather than re-drawing the content, which means the operation is lossless and instant. The underlying text, images, and vector graphics are untouched; only the viewing angle changes, so the file size stays essentially the same and text remains fully selectable. Common scenarios include fixing documents from a sheet-fed scanner that fed pages the wrong way, correcting a single landscape chart embedded in an otherwise portrait report, or reorienting photographs of paperwork taken on a phone. Because you can scope rotation to a page range, mixed-orientation documents are easy to clean up without touching pages that are already correct.

A useful tip: rotate before you split or extract, so downstream files inherit the corrected orientation. If only some pages are sideways, apply rotation to just that range rather than the whole document.
