Area Converter

The calculation works by converting your input to a single base unit — usually the square meter — and then scaling out to the target unit, which preserves precision across very small (mm²) and very large (km²) scales. Area conversions are the square of linear conversions, which is why the factors look unusual: because 1 foot is 0.3048 meters, 1 square foot is 0.3048², or about 0.0929 square meters. Typical use cases include reading international property listings (hectares versus acres), ordering the right amount of tile, carpet, or sod, calculating roofing or painting coverage, and converting agricultural plot sizes.
